7 To attach the sail to the raft, put a small ball of modeling clay on the base of the raft in the center, and press the mast into it to secure. You’re now ready to face the rapids!

Words of wisdom

You might have to experiment with the position of the modeling clay in order to get the raft to balance correctly. If one side of the boat always sinks into the water there is too much weight on that side. Add a bit more clay to the opposite side of the raft and test it in the water. If it’s still unbalanced, add a little more clay until you get the perfect weight distribution.
